Les Terrasses du Port, Restaurant by the marina in Arcachon, France
Les Terrasses du Port is a restaurant and bar on the first floor of the Pôle Nautisme building on Quai Goslar in Arcachon, overlooking the marina and the waters of the Bassin d'Arcachon. In addition to the indoor dining room, it has a large rooftop terrace where guests can eat or have a drink outside.
Arcachon grew into a seaside resort and fishing port during the 19th century, and its waterfront later became a hub for leisure boats. The restaurant opened as part of the redevelopment of the port area, turning a working harbor into a place people visit for food and leisure.
The restaurant sits by the marina, and many guests come to watch the boats while eating. The menu reflects the maritime tradition of the region, with fresh seafood and local products from the Bassin d'Arcachon.
The place is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from morning until late in the evening. The rooftop terrace fills up quickly, so arriving early gives you a better chance of finding a seat outside with a view of the water.
The indoor space can be reserved for groups of up to around 200 seated guests, making it one of the larger event venues along the waterfront in Arcachon. In winter, a covered pergola allows guests to sit outside even when the temperature drops.
