Ferrit & Lee, restaurant in Midleton, Ireland
Ferrit & Lee is a restaurant on the quiet road leading up to the gates of the Old Midleton Distillery, opposite the river and a small park. Inside, the seating is split between the dining room and a few outdoor tables at the front and rear, all within a short walk of the distillery entrance.
The building was previously a restaurant called Raymond's before Pat Ferriter and Stephen Lee took over in 2017 and renamed it Ferrit & Lee. Since then, the place has grown into a well-regarded stop for people visiting the nearby historic distillery.
The name comes from Pat Ferriter and Stephen Lee, two chefs who had already worked in the same building before taking it over and renaming it. The menu highlights local producers, with seafood from Ballycotton and meats from nearby farms credited by name, which reflects the strong connection to the surrounding food community.
The rooms are all on one level, and staff are used to welcoming both locals and visitors coming from the distillery. If you arrive around lunchtime, service tends to be quicker, while evenings can feel more relaxed.
The signature dish, feather blade of beef, changes with the seasons and is the one plate regulars mention first. The kitchen also serves some dishes in two sizes, such as crispy goat cheese buns, which is a small touch many first-time visitors do not expect.
