Tuscany is an Italian restaurant in Holladay, Utah, set in a villa-style building at the base of the Wasatch Mountains. The space includes an open kitchen, a bar decorated with trees, several dining rooms, and an outdoor patio surrounded by gardens.
The site was a gathering place in the late 1800s before the building was later converted into the restaurant it is today. The former Heather Restaurant was renovated over more than a year to create the villa-like space, with warm colors and wine-themed decor throughout.
Tuscany is known as a go-to spot for proposals and celebrations, with candlelit tables and a setting that feels made for special evenings. The hand-painted tiles, stone fireplaces, and wooden beams inside give the dining rooms a warm, traditional feel that guests notice right away.
Reservations are strongly recommended, especially on weekends and during holidays when tables fill up quickly. If the weather is good, it is worth asking for a spot on the outdoor patio when booking.
The restaurant was co-founded by Mark Eaton, a former NBA player for the Utah Jazz, who pushed for the name Tuscany over the originally planned name Chianti. Right next to the restaurant sits a French-inspired spot called Franck's and an outdoor event space called Bellissimo Gardens.
