Museo de Miniaturas Militares

The Museo de Miniaturas Militares is a museum in Jaca featuring an extensive collection of lead figures displayed in carefully crafted scenes that represent military formations from different time periods. The exhibition uses detailed dioramas to bring battles and combat scenes to life.

The museum occupies a former military barracks within the Castillo de San Pedro, a pentagonal fortress built in the late 16th century. The fort was constructed as a strategic defensive position in this region.

The collection presents military units from various periods and cultures, showing how fighting methods and weapons changed throughout history. Visitors can observe how different civilizations organized and equipped their armies.

The museum is open daily and offers guided tours in which the evolution of warfare is explained through detailed miniature battle recreations. Plan adequate time to view the many scenes leisurely and follow the explanations.

A special attraction is a large diorama of the Brunete Armored Division featuring hundreds of vehicles and tanks of the Spanish army. This scenario is one of the most elaborate and displays modern military technology in detailed form.
