Museo Diocesano de Jaca, Religious art museum in Jaca, Spain
The Diocesan Museum contains medieval religious art collections from the 11th to 14th centuries, displaying frescoes, sculptures, and architectural elements from regional churches.
The museum opened its doors in August 1970 and underwent extensive renovations from 2003 to 2010, transforming its presentation methods and facilities.
The exhibition halls showcase Romanesque capitals, Gothic frescoes, and religious artifacts that represent the artistic techniques of medieval Spanish craftsmen.
Located in the cathedral complex, the museum offers combination tickets with the cathedral at 7.50 euros and remains closed on Mondays and Sunday afternoons.
The second room features exceptional mural paintings by the master of Bagües from the late 13th century, demonstrating regional artistic styles.
