Lloc de Menorca

Lloc de Menorca is a wildlife rehabilitation center in Alaior with multiple zones for local species and rescued animals from various European centers. The facility includes a playground, picnic area, aquatic park, and restaurant where visitors can observe the residents.

The center was created to care for injured and orphaned wildlife with plans for rehabilitation and release. In 2012, it received eighteen female macaques rescued from a laboratory through collaboration with a Dutch foundation.

The center features animals native to Menorca, including traditional sheep, cattle, horse, and chicken breeds found on the island. Visitors can see how these animals connect to the region's farming heritage and everyday rural life.

The grounds are easy to navigate with different zones to explore at your own pace. There are seating areas to rest and food options available, which help you enjoy the visit comfortably.

The center is home to Suli, a macaw who has become a symbol of the place and can be observed by visitors. People often come to see this particular bird as part of their visit.
