Bayshore Beach

Bayshore Beach is a shoreline in Saint Michael on Barbados's southern coast featuring soft white sand and clear waters. The stretch extends around one and a half kilometers and provides ample space for swimming and relaxation.

The beach was originally known as Bay Street Beach and lies near colonial-era buildings from the 17th century. These structures reflect British influence on the island and shape the character of the waterfront area.

Local vendors sell traditional Bajan specialties like flying fish sandwiches and rum punch directly on the sand. The place serves as a gathering spot where both residents and visitors experience local food culture in a casual setting.

Restrooms, chair rentals, and umbrellas are available on-site, with lifeguards present during daylight hours. Visitors should take advantage of these facilities and note the lifeguard coverage for a safer experience.

A boardwalk connects this beach to Hastings Rocks and creates a waterfront path for walking. This pathway offers direct access to nearby restaurants and shops without leaving the shore area.
