During summer evenings, local residents gather at Lighthouse Beach for community events, featuring music performances and environmental education programs.
The beach maintains lifeguard services from Memorial Day through Labor Day, with designated swimming areas and water quality monitoring systems.
From the beach's northern section, visitors can observe both the historic lighthouse structure and migrating birds using the Lake Michigan Flyway.
