Poleg Beach, Sand beach in southern Netanya, Israel
Poleg Beach is a sandy beach on the southern edge of Netanya, near the Ramat Poleg area and the Q Hotel. It has a surf school, a restaurant, beach volleyball and football courts, showers, changing rooms, and a paid parking lot with boat access.
The beach was opened to the public in late 2023 and quickly became a go-to spot for people from Netanya and the surrounding towns. Before this development, the land was mostly used for farming.
The beach is on the southern edge of Netanya and easy to reach by car, though parking can fill up on busy days. Lifeguards are on duty during the summer season, and changing rooms and showers are available on site.
On the southern end of the beach, up to 70 gliders can sometimes be seen in the sky at once, creating a scene that is unusual for a city beach. The northern part is set aside for motorized water activities, which separates it from most other beaches in the area.
