Turas

Turas is a sandy and pebbly beach on the western coast of Sardinia, stretching about 380 meters (1,250 feet) along the Mediterranean. The shoreline offers shallow water near the edge and rocky outcrops further out.

Bosa, nearby, began as an ancient Phoenician settlement and later became an important trading harbor during the Middle Ages. Its location along this coast made it attractive for commerce and fishing for centuries.

Local fishermen sell their daily catches to nearby restaurants, keeping traditional cooking methods alive in the area. The community here finds its identity deeply connected to the sea and what it provides.

The beach is located about 3 kilometers (2 miles) south of Bosa Marina and is easily accessible by car, with parking near the shore. Arriving early is advisable, especially during peak season, as the best spots fill up quickly.

The beach is known for collecting multicolored pebbles and coral fragments that wash ashore throughout the year. Visitors often find colorful stones and occasionally rare shells and fossils among the beach materials.
