Spiaggia delle Morge

The extensive beach extends along the Adriatic coast with white sand on the southern section and pebbles on the northern part of the shore.

During medieval times, the beach area functioned as a small port for the Osento river, managed by Benedictine monks from Santo Stefano a Rivomare abbey.

The name derives from Latin 'murex', meaning stone or rock, reflecting the geological characteristics of the northern section of the beach.

The southern section features shallow waters suitable for families, while the northern area presents deeper waters and breakwater barriers for swimming.

The beach includes Lido Punta Le Morge, the first official naturist establishment in the Abruzzo region, located in the Lagodragoni section.
