Cala Moresca

Cala Moresca is a beach on the Sardinian coast that sits at the base of rocky cliffs and is framed by pine trees. The water is clear, and bright sand sections alternate with rocky areas that invite exploration.

The area was shaped in the 19th century by the development of the railway to Golfo Aranci, which connected the coast to inland regions. This infrastructure made the remote shoreline more accessible.

Local fishing traditions continue at Cala Moresca, where residents maintain connections to maritime practices through seasonal fishing activities and boat excursions.

Access is via the SP 82 road from Golfo Aranci, with parking available near the beach. The location is quite windy and gets sea breeze on hot days, so visitors should bring light clothing.

A hiking trail leads from here to the Cape Figari lighthouse at about 340 meters elevation. Once there, visitors can see the nearby islands of Tavolara and Figarolo standing off the coast.
