Spiaggia Sant'Elmo

Spiaggia Sant'Elmo is a sand beach along the southern coast of Sardinia where light-colored sand meets the Mediterranean Sea. The shoreline extends for several kilometers and is framed by natural rock formations that shape the coastal profile.

The beach takes its name from Torre Sant'Elmo, a 16th-century watchtower built to defend against pirate raids that threatened the island. This structure shaped the area's past and remains a reminder of the coastal security concerns of that era.

The beach is reached via a paved pathway from the parking area, clearly marked and easy to walk. Seasonal rental services operate during summer months, and parking is conveniently located near the access point.

The northern section features natural granite formations that create small, hidden coves ideal for snorkeling and underwater exploration. These rock formations provide a more sheltered setting than the open main beach and attract visitors seeking quieter spots.
