Caletta Porto Russo

Caletta Porto Russo is a sandy beach along the coast of Otranto featuring clear Mediterranean waters and natural rock outcrops. The beach stretches for several hundred meters with both open swimming areas and sheltered coves formed by the rocky landscape.

The area served as a natural anchorage and fishing ground for local boats for generations. The transformation into a recreational swimming destination happened gradually during recent decades.

The beach is accessed through a marked pathway from the main road with parking spaces nearby. The route is straightforward and the path is suitable for visitors of all ages.

The water depth changes gradually over 50 meters, creating different temperature zones that attract various Mediterranean fish species throughout the year.
