Local fishermen continue their traditional practices at Praia do Marreco, setting their nets during early morning hours according to Portuguese coastal customs.

Visitors can access the beach through Avenida Dom Pedro V or Rua do Marreco, with seasonal lifeguard services operating from June 15th to September 15th.

A substantial islet situated 200 meters from the shoreline creates distinct wave patterns and influences the beach's marine ecosystem throughout the year.
