Magic Miniature World, Model railway museum in Amiens, France
Magic Miniature World was a model railway museum in Amiens displaying meticulously crafted miniature landscapes across multiple floors. The exhibition featured mountains, tunnels, ski slopes, and regional buildings representing three European regions.
The project began in 2015 when fifteen model railway enthusiasts came together with the goal of creating France's largest miniature exhibition. Substantial private investments were mobilized to realize this ambitious vision.
The facility planned to showcase three distinct European regions through detailed miniature reproductions of Switzerland, Bavaria, and the Rhine landscapes.
The venue was located in Amiens' leisure district near the Zenith and stadium, making it easy to access. The exhibition space was well organized, with about 350 square meters dedicated to train displays out of the total 500 square meters available.
The creators developed custom sound effects for the locomotives and built an exact miniature replica of the Somme Bay and Amiens station. These details showed how much effort went into recreating local authenticity.
