Gladiatorek, Bronze dwarf statue in Stare Miasto, Poland.
The Gladiatorek statue depicts a small warrior figure cast in bronze, positioned near the Hansel & Gretel houses in central Wrocław.
Installed on December 22, 2015, this bronze figure extends the legacy of protest art from the 1980s Orange Alternative movement against communist authority.
The statue belongs to a collection of over 600 dwarf sculptures across Wrocław, representing local stories and reflecting the Polish folklore character krasnoludek.
Visitors can locate Gladiatorek using specialized dwarf maps available at the tourist office, which detail the locations of numerous bronze figures.
Each winter, local residents dress the Gladiatorek statue in miniature scarves and hats, creating seasonal variations in its appearance.
