Listonosz

Listonosz is a bronze figure depicting a mail carrier positioned near ground level in Wrocław's eastern district. The small statue shows a worker with a mail bag and uniform, placed along a quiet part of the neighborhood.

The bronze sculpture was installed on October 24, 2008, joining hundreds of other figures that originated from the Orange Alternative movement. This underground movement created artistic resistance against communist rule in Poland.

The figure depicts a postal worker in miniature uniform and mail bag, representing one of many professions portrayed in the dwarf collection. It reflects the diversity of trades and services that characterize urban life in the city.

The figure belongs to a collection of over 300 dwarfs scattered across Wrocław, forming one of Europe's largest outdoor displays of miniature sculptures. This abundance makes collecting them all a long-term project for visitors to the city.
