Budynek biurowy ZREMB we Wrocławiu, Office building in Przedmieście Oławskie district, Wrocław, Poland
The ZREMB office building at Traugutta Street shows a facade of repeating modules with a minimalist concrete frame. This nine-story structure houses office spaces with open floor plans and is equipped with elevators and underground parking.
The building was completed between 1968 and 1971 and became the first tall structure in central Wrocław after World War II. Architect Zenon Branowski designed it during a time when such modern office towers were uncommon in the city.
The building received recognition as a contemporary cultural asset in 2010 and 2018, reflecting modernist architecture with brutalist elements in its design.
The building is accessible through multiple elevators and has underground parking for visitors. The spaces are arranged for various office activities and are easy to navigate.
The structure uses H-frames as load-bearing elements showing a carefully thought-out construction approach. An original prototype pavilion was later converted into a garage, demonstrating the flexibility of the design.
