Museo Cuevas del Sacromonte. Centro de Interpretación del Valle del Darro., Cave museum in Sacromonte, Spain
The museum complex contains eleven preserved caves displaying traditional crafts, household items, and tools used by the former inhabitants of Sacromonte.
The caves of Sacromonte were initially established as dwellings in the 16th century when Muslim and Romani communities settled in the hillside of Granada.
Through exhibits of musical instruments, costumes, and performance spaces, the museum documents the evolution of flamenco art among Sacromonte residents.
Visitors can access the museum daily from 10:00 to 18:00, with entrance fees of 5 euros for individuals and 3 euros for groups.
The museum provides designated viewing points offering direct perspectives of the Alhambra palace across the Darro Valley.

Grenada is a city experienced like a poem. At the foot of the Sierra Nevada, it combines Muslim heritage, Catholic fervor, and Andalusian rhythm. Behind ochre facades lie shaded patios, fountains, mosaics, and carved arches that tell eight centuries of history. The Alhambra watches over the city like a stone dream, the Albaicín district unfolds its white alleys, and the gardens of Generalife recall the delicacy of Nasrid rulers. At every turn, a bell tower follows a minaret, an Arab market opens onto a baroque cathedral. Granada is as much an open-air museum as a living place, where flamenco still escapes from the Sacromonte caves. Between spirituality, art, and jasmine fragrance, the Andalusian city retains an elusive, almost mystical beauty.
