Accro-mâts, Adventure park in Rochefort, France.
Accro-mâts is a climbing park located within Rochefort's Naval Dockyard offering three separate courses with ropes and obstacles. The structures reach heights of up to 30 meters and are arranged throughout the historic dockyard grounds.
The park was built on the site of a dry dock from the age of King Louis XV that originally served shipbuilding purposes. The same location later hosted the construction of a replica of the historic frigate Hermione.
Visitors experience a connection to maritime heritage by engaging in climbing exercises that echo how sailors once worked with ship rigging. The activity offers insight into the physical demands sailors faced when handling vessel equipment.
Closed-toe shoes are required for participation, and children between 6 and 10 years old need adult supervision. Visitors should expect varying difficulty levels across the courses and allow time to try all three routes.
While climbing, visitors can see the Corderie Royale and Arsenal des Mers facilities situated around the dockyard grounds. From the higher points of the courses, views extend across the Charente River and the surrounding wetlands.
