Weembi, Indoor skydiving center in Lesquin, France
Weembi is an indoor facility with a vertical wind tunnel located in Lesquin where visitors experience freefall flight inside a circular chamber. The tunnel chamber is approximately 5.2 meters across and extends upward to allow people to float and maneuver in the rushing air.
The site opened in June 2016 after operating under a previous name. It became one of only a small number of wind tunnels this size operating in Europe.
Visitors of all skill levels train together in this space, creating a community where beginners and experienced flyers share the same flying chamber. The instructors guide both first-time visitors and athletes who work on advanced techniques.
Visitors should wear loose-fitting clothes and allow time to absorb instructions before entering the wind tunnel. An orientation session covers proper body position and safety procedures before anyone steps into the chamber.
The wind tunnel achieves air speeds powerful enough to lift people into genuine suspension without a parachute. This intense airflow comes from specialized engineering that keeps the current stable and safe for visitors to navigate.
