Lib’escape, Escape room in Libourne, France
Lib'escape features two distinct game scenarios set in different environments and time periods. One recreation shows a World War II bunker, while the other presents a mysterious manor from 1902 with supernatural themes woven throughout the puzzles.
The facility opened in the early 2020s as part of a global movement of real-life puzzle rooms that grew from digital gaming culture. This type of entertainment adapted escape games from video games into physical spaces.
The escape rooms weave French history and local heritage into their design, allowing visitors to engage with regional stories as they solve puzzles. Each scenario reflects elements familiar to people from this area.
Groups of two to six people can book sessions to work together on puzzles and clues. It is best to book ahead and check the current opening days before visiting.
The bunker room on the ground floor is designed to accommodate visitors with reduced mobility without compromising the experience. The manor room upstairs, by contrast, features narrow passages and more demanding physical challenges.
