Le défi des ducs, Escape room in Dijon, France
Le defi des ducs offers five differently themed rooms for groups of two to twenty-five people seeking intellectual and interactive challenges. Each room presents a different scenario and requires teamwork to solve puzzles and escape within the time limit.
The theming refers to the period of the Dukes of Burgundy, who ruled from Dijon between the 11th and 15th centuries and shaped the city. This medieval period provides the historical foundation for several of the puzzle scenarios.
The scenarios draw from regional heritage and tell stories about protecting artworks during World War II as well as exploring ancient Roman walls. Visitors experience how local history comes alive through interactive puzzles.
Visitor groups should book in advance to secure available time slots, especially when bringing larger parties or preferring specific days. Solid shoes and light clothing are recommended since moving around the rooms is necessary and sometimes challenging positions are required.
The Nautilus room places players in Jules Verne's underwater world where teams manage oxygen supplies and complete underwater missions. This scenario combines science fiction elements with practical puzzle tasks.
