OPOLUM Escape Room Hamburg Theater, Escape room theater in Speicherstadt, Hamburg, Germany
OPOLUM is an escape room theater in Speicherstadt housed across multiple floors of a historic warehouse building in Hamburg's port area. The rooms combine puzzle-solving with theatrical storytelling in spaces that reflect the building's original warehouse function.
The concept began in 2019 when a standard immersive theater transformed into an escape room format. This shift created a new type of experience that centers on Inspector Winters as the main character.
The rooms show steampunk design that reflects Hamburg's industrial past and the warehouse district's heritage. Visitors see metal walls and mechanical components that keep the feeling of the old port buildings alive.
The facility is in the port district and open on multiple days throughout the week for different age groups. Visitors should expect physical activity and darker spaces in some rooms.
The ChainSAW game offers two different play modes: a standard version for public groups and a more intense horror experience for private bookings. This flexibility allows different types of experiences depending on preference and group size.
