Cremat Castle, Heritage château in Nice, France
The Château de Crémat stands on the Bellet hills, featuring Roman wine cellars and Art Deco interiors decorated with furniture from the Ritz Palace.
Antoine Mari, an olive oil merchant, constructed the château in 1906 on his ancestral land, leading to the revival of Bellet vineyards in the region.
During the 1920s, American heiress Irene Bretz transformed the château into a social center, hosting European artists and aristocrats at numerous festivals.
Located 8 kilometers from Nice Côte d'Azur Airport, the château opens Monday through Saturday from 10:00 to 17:30 for guided tours and wine tasting sessions.
The estate maintains 10 hectares of organic vineyards at 200-300 meters altitude, cultivating local varieties like La Folle Noire, Braquet, and Rolle.
