DAV Kletter- und Boulderzentrum München Nord, Climbing gym in Schwabing-Freimann, Germany
The DAV Kletter- und Boulderzentrum München Nord is a climbing and bouldering facility in Schwabing-Freimann with walls designed for different skill levels. The center combines indoor and outdoor climbing areas where visitors can practice various climbing techniques in one location.
The center opened in 2015 as part of the German Alpine Club's network of modern climbing facilities across the country. This expansion brought dedicated training spaces to Munich's climbing community.
The facility provides climbing certifications through three distinct programs: Toprope for beginners, Lead Climbing for intermediates, and Outdoor for natural rock climbing.
The facility is open from early morning to late evening on most days, making it accessible for various schedules. Both indoor and outdoor sections are available, so check current conditions before visiting to plan your session accordingly.
The outdoor section features automatic safety systems that allow climbers to practice independently without a partner. This technology makes learning climbing techniques in the open air more flexible and accessible for solo visitors.
