Camping WECAMP Cabo de Gata, Campground in Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, Spain
Camping WECAMP Cabo de Gata is a campsite in the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park on the Andalusian coast with 250 plots, each around 80 square meters in size. The plots feature electrical connections and sit beneath palm trees and mimosas, while the place offers bungalows, a restaurant, supermarket, and bicycle rentals.
The site was established as part of the development of the first maritime and terrestrial protected area in Andalusia. Its founding marked a time when the region began making its natural riches accessible to visitors while protecting them.
The place works closely with local producers and shapes daily life through regional products and events that reflect area traditions. Visitors experience directly how the community maintains its way of life and connection to nature.
The site sits about one kilometer from the beach and offers free WiFi throughout the grounds. Those wanting to explore the nearby area can rent bicycles on-site or simply walk to discover the coastal landscape.
The grounds sit within a UNESCO biosphere reserve that shelters a rare mix of Mediterranean ecosystems and volcanic formations. This geological feature makes the surroundings a place where visitors can experience some of the lesser-known landscape elements of southern Andalusia.
