Caribbean Palms, Plant nursery in Cole Bay, Sint Maarten
Caribbean Palms is a plant nursery in Cole Bay offering palm trees, shrubs, flowering plants, and fruit trees in its outdoor garden area. The selection includes species suited for residential gardens and larger landscaping work.
The nursery was established following Hurricane Irma in 2017, which caused major damage to vegetation across Sint Maarten. It helped meet the demand for replanting and restoration of local gardens after the storm.
The nursery sources plants from the United States and Spain, bringing Mediterranean and American varieties to local gardens. This makes it possible to create different garden styles on the island.
The nursery is located on Union Road and operates on weekdays as well as Saturday mornings. Visiting early in the day is advisable, as stock is freshest and the heat is less intense.
The nursery specializes in palm species that thrive in Caribbean conditions, including varieties that tolerate salt spray and drought. This focus makes it a valuable source for creating hardy gardens suited to island life.
