LAB Terrace

LAB Terrace is a rooftop bar located atop the Algarve Life Sciences Center building overlooking the Ria Formosa wetlands and ocean. The space offers unobstructed views in multiple directions and operates as an open-air gathering area with service.

The terrace was created as part of the Algarve Life Sciences Center's development in recent decades. It was built to introduce a public gathering space in an area where maritime commerce once shaped the local economy.

The terrace serves as a gathering place where locals and visitors mix in the relaxed evening atmosphere typical of the Algarve region. People come here to spend time together while watching the interplay of water, light, and activity at the horizon.

The terrace is accessible by stairs or elevator and provides seating in open areas and under covered sections. Visitors should prepare for breezy conditions at height and wear comfortable shoes for easy movement.

From this vantage point, visitors simultaneously observe aircraft landing at the nearby airport and boats navigating through Ria Formosa channels. This unusual combination of air traffic and water movement creates a rare intersection of human activity happening at different altitudes.
