Lac de Cambous, Mountain lake in Sainte-Cécile d'Andorge, France
The Cambous Lake stretches across a valley surrounded by pine forests, offering 15 meters of depth and clear waters for recreational activities.
The lake emerged in the 1950s through the construction of a dam designed to regulate water flow from surrounding rivers in the Cévennes region.
Local residents and visitors gather at the nautical base throughout summer months to participate in water sports and outdoor recreational activities.
The nautical base operates from June through September, providing equipment rentals for canoeing, paddle boarding, and pedal boating between 10:00 and 19:00.
Visitors can explore multiple water-based activities while being surrounded by the natural landscape of the Cévennes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
