Château du Cléray extends across 95 hectares of land dedicated to growing Melon de Bourgogne, Folle Blanche, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon grape varieties.
The castle, constructed in 1843 during a period of architectural development in the Sèvre et Maine region, features Mediterranean-influenced building elements.
The Sauvion family maintains traditional winemaking methods while producing wines that are distributed to more than 80 countries worldwide.
Visitors can participate in guided tours, wine tastings, and treasure hunts through the vineyards, with experiences ranging from 6 to 25 euros per person.
The estate produces the Cardinal Richard cuvée, named after a previous owner who selected this particular wine as his personal favorite.
