Kasakh Waterfall

Kasakh Waterfall stands 70 meters tall, formed by the Kasakh River cascading down rocky cliffs into a deep gorge, creating a powerful vertical flow with consistent water volume throughout the year.

The adjacent Hovhannavank Monastery, built in the 5th century, represents Armenia's ecclesiastical heritage and has historically served as a spiritual landmark overlooking this natural formation for centuries.

The waterfall embodies Armenian reverence for natural wonders and remains intertwined with local folklore and spiritual narratives that have been passed down through generations in the community.

Access from Yerevan requires approximately 40 minutes by car, followed by a 2-kilometer moderate hiking trail from Ohanavan Village to reach the waterfall site safely.

This waterfall holds the distinction of being Armenia's tallest waterfall and provides panoramic views of Mount Aragats, Mount Ara, and Mount Ararat from the surrounding gorge landscape.
