Riad Mokhtar

Riad Mokhtar is a traditional guest house in Tangier's medina that displays authentic Andalusian architecture with a central courtyard decorated with colorful zellige tiles and hand-carved cedar wood ceilings. The ten air-conditioned rooms offer views over Tangier Bay and the historic city streets.

The building was constructed during Tangier's International Zone era and began as a private palace where families gathered for celebrations. It was later transformed into a boutique guest house by its current owners.

The house maintains Moroccan hospitality traditions through refined cooking served in its restaurant decorated with local artworks. Evenings feature traditional musicians performing in the central courtyard, creating an authentic setting for guests.

The guest house has ten rooms with air conditioning, free wifi, and a 24-hour concierge service. Secure parking is available, and airport transfers can be arranged in advance for an extra fee.

The rooftop offers views of the Strait of Gibraltar and the Spanish coast along with the Rif Mountains. Guests can enjoy sunrise breakfasts and evening cocktails there under the open sky.
