Dar Nakhla Naciria

Dar Nakhla Naciria is a traditional Moroccan riad in Tangier's medina with tiled courtyards, mosaic-decorated rooms, and terraces. The house combines narrow passages, handcrafted rooms, and rooftop spaces overlooking the city and Mediterranean.

The house began as a private residence from earlier centuries and was later transformed to welcome guests. Carved plaster walls and decorative elements reflect different periods of Tangier's architectural past.

The place displays handcrafted techniques that visitors can spot in the zellige tiles, carved wood details, and regional dishes served on the terrace. These elements tell of local traditions still practiced here today.

The rooms lie within walking distance of historic sights like the Kasbah and can be easily explored without a car. The area is walkable and allows for exploring the surrounding medina streets.

Two separate Moroccan lounges within the house offer retreat spaces with traditional textiles and lighting that are less known than the rooftop terrace. These cozy rooms show how local craftspeople use light and fabric to create different moods.
