Vignoble Favre & Fils, Organic vineyard in La Fromagerie village, Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron, France.
This family-owned wine estate spans 50 hectares and produces Charentais wines, Pineau des Charentes and cognacs following organic farming principles adopted since 2010.
Established in 1900, the vineyard has been passed down through generations and has practiced direct sales since 1968 under the management of the Favre family.
Pascal Favre continues local winemaking traditions by using regional grape varieties such as merlot, cabernet franc, colombard and ugni blanc to create authentic wines from the Oléron terroir.
The estate opens Monday through Saturday from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM and offers guided cellar tours every Thursday at 10:30 AM with tastings of their products.
The vineyard grows its grapes in a specific marine environment that gives its organic wines distinctive taste characteristics influenced by the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean.
