Rzeszowska Fontanna Multimedialna
The Rzeszowska Fontanna Multimedialna is a modern water installation on a central square near Lubomirski Castle in Rzeszów. It features a round mirror fountain, five flower-shaped fountains, and around 1600 water jets synchronized with music and colored lights that change throughout each performance.
The fountain opened in 2013, replacing a former children's play area on the site. Its construction marked the beginning of Rzeszow's modern expansion of public spaces and drew around 10,000 visitors to its opening.
The name combines the city with its modern fountain, a gathering place where locals and visitors come together in the evenings. The light and water displays have become part of how residents experience their city and celebrate it as a contemporary space.
The installation is easy to reach on foot from the city center and best visited during warm weather, especially from May to October. Evening performances offer the best experience, with the outdoor amphitheater providing around 300 seats for comfortable viewing of the light and water displays.
The installation uses around 1600 water jets, many of which can be controlled independently to create dynamic shapes and patterns. This detailed control allows for complex water choreography that constantly shifts, making each performance different from the last.
