Letni Pałac Lubomirskich w Rzeszowie

The Lubomirski Summer Palace is a three-story Baroque structure in Rzeszow with decorative pilasters and large windows across its facade. The H-shaped layout with a central hall extending upward through two floors demonstrates the architectural signature of its designer.

The building was constructed in the 1690s by Dutch architect Tylman van Gameren for the wealthy Hieronim Augustyn Lubomirski. A major renovation took place between 1738 and 1746, updating the structure to reflect changing aesthetic preferences.

The Lubomirski family used this residence as their summer retreat, shaping the social life of the city's aristocratic circles. The grounds were designed in the French style, reflecting the cosmopolitan tastes of its wealthy owners.

The building is located at 2 Dekerta Street near Rzeszow Castle, making it straightforward to find in the city. Since 2013 it has housed the Regional Medical Chamber, so visits should be arranged in advance.

The building was conceived as an H-shaped ensemble, a feature that Tylman van Gameren employed in many of his works, setting this palace apart from others of its era. This unusual floor plan allowed for innovative space arrangement and natural light throughout the interior.
