Church of the Holy Cross in Rzeszów

The Church of the Holy Cross combines both late Baroque and Rococo architectural elements, with two towers framing the central section of its structure.

The construction started in 1642 under the direction of Zofia Prudencjanna Ostrogska, initially intended for the Poor Clare sisters but later given to Piarist order.

The church forms part of a larger religious complex that includes Stanisław Konarski High School Number 1 and houses religious artifacts from the late Baroque period.

Located at 3 Maja 17 in central Rzeszów, the church maintains regular visiting hours and offers access to its tower for panoramic views.

The church tower contains a mechanical clock dating from the 17th century, making it one of the oldest functioning timepieces in the region.
