Promenade Pereire, Recreation area in the 17th arrondissement, Paris, France.
This green space extends along Boulevard Pereire, covering 14,330 square meters with landscaped sections featuring rose gardens, magnolias, rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias, peonies, pergolas with climbing plants, fruit trees, and play areas for children including swings, slides, ping-pong tables, and a miniature train station.
The promenade was created in 1989 on the covered structure of the former Auteuil railway line, which operated from 1854 to 1985, and now conceals the underground RER C line that runs beneath it.
Bronze sculptures by Boris Lejeune representing natural themes such as vineyards, fields, river, trees, and sea punctuate the promenade, while three sections honor French Resistance women Gilberte Brossolette, Rosemonde Pujol, and Thérèse Pierre since 2019.
The park opens Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM and weekends from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM, accessible via Pereire metro station with amenities including sports facilities, drinking fountains, and a music kiosk, though pets are not permitted.
The promenade contains approximately two hundred willow-leaved pear trees interspersed with pergolas covered in clematis, hops, wisteria, and honeysuckle, creating a distinctive horticultural composition rarely found in Parisian urban parks.
