Peyrolles Stadium, Pitch and stadium in Aurillac, France
Stade de Peyrolles is a grass pitch and stadium in the Peyrolles neighborhood of Aurillac, in south-central France. The facility is set up for football and rugby, and sits within a larger sports complex that also includes indoor halls and other outdoor spaces.
Stade de Peyrolles was opened by the city of Aurillac in the late 1970s to meet the growing demand for local sports facilities. Since then it has been maintained regularly and gradually joined by other sports spaces within the same complex.
The stadium sits in the Peyrolles neighborhood, within easy reach of the surrounding residential areas and schools, and can be reached on foot, by bike, or by car. The pitch area is accessible for wheelchair users, and a parking area is available directly next to the venue.
Although the ground is primarily known for football, it also hosts rugby matches, which is common in this part of the Auvergne. The pitch can be lit in the evening, making it possible to hold training sessions after work or school.
