Serdang Sunrise Peak Track, Trail in Majlis Bandaraya Subang Jaya, Malaysia
The Serdang Sunrise Peak Track is a narrow dirt trail on Bukit Serdang, a small hill within the Majlis Bandaraya Subang Jaya area of Malaysia. It leads to an overlook called Sunrise Peak, reachable in about 15 minutes, with several side paths branching off along the way.
The land around Bukit Serdang was originally undeveloped on the edge of a growing urban area. Over time, local residents began using the hill informally for walks, and the paths gradually became more defined.
On certain mornings, local residents gather at the peak to watch the sun rise over the surrounding neighborhood. Along the way, there is a small dog temple and a shrine with statues that visitors tend to maintain.
The ground can be slippery in places, especially where dead leaves cover the path, so sturdy footwear is a good idea. There are no toilets or refreshments on site, so visitors should carry water and plan accordingly.
Despite being located in a densely populated neighborhood, many nearby residents are unaware that this trail exists at all. Some visitors also leave water containers at the peak for planting purposes, which can attract mosquitoes.
