Parc Bungarribee is a public park in the Arndell Park area of western Sydney, Australia. It features open grassy areas, tall trees, walking and cycling trails, a playground, barbecue facilities, a small pond, and the ruins of an old stone estate.
The site was once a large private estate, and Bungarribee House was built there in the 1820s. Only the stone walls and foundations of that building now remain, standing in the middle of the green space.
The name Bungarribee comes from an Aboriginal language and reflects the presence of the area's first peoples. Signs placed around the ruins of the old estate give visitors a chance to read about who lived here before European settlers arrived.
The park is free to enter and open throughout the day. Arriving by car is the easiest option, as there is good parking on site, though some visitors find the signs around the area a little confusing to follow.
The park has a dedicated off-leash area for dogs, and a nearby cafe even offers drinks made especially for them. This detail makes it a regular meeting spot for dog owners from across the western Sydney area.
