Sydney Motorsport Park, Motorsport racing track in Eastern Creek, New South Wales, Australia
Sydney Motorsport Park is a racing track in Eastern Creek, a western suburb of Sydney in New South Wales. The complex features several circuit configurations, including the Gardner GP Circuit, Brabham Circuit, Druitt North Circuit, and Amaroo South Circuit.
The state of New South Wales built the facility in 1990 to host the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix. Over the following decades, it was used for national car races and other motorsport events.
The track has carried the name Sydney Motorsport Park since 2012, after being known as Eastern Creek International Raceway before. Visitors can watch different racing disciplines during competition weekends and explore the paddock area.
The park sits roughly 40 minutes from Sydney's business district and offers 52 pit garages along with a grandstand seating 4,000 people. Visitors will find corporate areas overlooking the track and public zones where they can follow the action.
In 2020, a lighting system meeting broadcast standards was installed, enabling night races. This addition allows evening events to take place and changes the atmosphere of competitions fundamentally.
