Port de Plaisance de Narbonne Plage, Marina in Narbonne, France
The Port de Plaisance de Narbonne Plage is a marina on the Mediterranean coast of southern France, a short distance from the town of Narbonne. Its berths are divided across three areas: an entrance basin called the avant-port, the Brossolette basin, and the Exals channel.
The port was dug in 1958 and enlarged in the early 1980s to accommodate more boats. A major renovation of the pontoons is planned for 2027, when all the floating piers will be replaced.
The Port de Plaisance de Narbonne Plage holds the Pavillon Bleu label, awarded to ports that meet strict standards for water quality and environmental care. On the docks, several clubs are active year-round, including a diving group, a fishing club, and a sailing center that runs courses for children and adults.
The port stays open late during summer and keeps shorter hours in the cooler months, so it is worth checking the season before you go. Parking is available nearby, including spaces for visitors with reduced mobility, and staff are on site on most days to assist.
The port has installed biohuts, small underwater shelters where young fish can grow, as part of its environmental program. These structures were set up with the local diving club, which also carries out scientific monitoring in the water around the docks.
