Universal Helios Grand Hotel, A hotel at a theme park in Orlando, US
Universal Helios Grand Hotel is a 500-room resort located at the edge of Celestial Park inside Epic Universe in Orlando. The building rises above the park's gardens and water features, with a lobby that has floor-to-ceiling windows facing the theme park, and most rooms offer views of the surrounding area.
The hotel was announced as part of the larger Epic Universe project and opened on May 22, 2025, alongside the new theme park. It was developed by the same creative team as the park and is co-owned and operated by Loews Hotels & Co, adding to the Universal Orlando hotel lineup.
The lobby is arranged like a palace hall with decorations based on sun and star patterns, and outside near the entrance stands a statue of Apollo that many guests stop to photograph. The pool area feels like a Mediterranean courtyard with palm trees and lounging spots, which contrasts with the theme park rides just beyond the property.
You can walk from the lobby through a dedicated entrance directly into Celestial Park, so staying here removes the need for parking or shuttle buses to that specific park. The resort also has a zero-entry pool, a game room, and a fitness center that are all easy to reach on foot from the guest rooms.
The hotel offers special kids' suites decorated like rooms from the Viking village of Berk, with separate sleeping areas for children. Another unusual touch is the rooftop bar, which has a full 360-degree view over the theme park and the surrounding area.
