Sushi Way, Japanese restaurant in La Part-Dieu, Lyon, France
Sushi Way is a Japanese restaurant in the La Part-Dieu shopping center in Lyon. It occupies a space on the top floor with a dining room and a terrace, and it serves sushi, maki, California rolls, sashimi, noodles, and yakitori.
Sushi Way opened its first locations in France in Grenoble and in the Paris region. The Lyon branch opened in 2024 as part of a group of new brands arriving at the shopping center.
The name Sushi Way and the tablet ordering reflect a modern take on Japanese fast food. The little train that delivers plates is a playful nod to the shinkansen, and it gives the meal a sense of motion and fun.
The restaurant is on the top floor of the shopping center, in the dining area called Les Tables. It can get crowded at lunch and dinner, so it helps to arrive a bit early or to check the wait at the entrance.
Orders are limited to four dishes per person at a time, which keeps the table from getting crowded. The delivery train runs on a track above the table, so plates arrive at eye level without a server.
