Luhačovice

Luhačovice is a spa town in the Zlín District known for its natural mineral springs. The water holds high levels of sodium, calcium, and magnesium that are used for healing treatments and water therapy.

The town first appeared in written records in 1412, though real growth came later after the Serényi family took over the land in 1629. From that point forward, it developed into an important healing resort.

The buildings here show a blend of folk art and early modern design that Dušan Jurkovič introduced to the town around 1900. Walking through the center, you notice how these structures mix traditional patterns with new construction styles.

The town sits on a railway line with regular trains connecting to major cities like Prague, Brno, and Olomouc. Visitors can reach the spa facilities easily and explore the grounds on foot.

The mineral water Vincentka from local springs serves both as a drinking cure and for inhalation therapy, setting it apart from other spa waters in the region. This water plays a special role in the town's healing programs.
