Rýmařov is a municipality with town privileges in Bruntál District, located in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The settlement spreads across hilly terrain at roughly 590 meters elevation.
The town originated in medieval times and later developed around iron ore mining. After World War II, the population shifted when German residents departed and Czech settlers arrived to rebuild the community.
The Church of Saint Michael in the town center displays layered architectural styles from different centuries. Walking around the building, visitors notice how Gothic, Renaissance, and Neoclassical elements blend across its exterior and interior spaces.
The town is accessible via road I/11 and railway lines that connect to nearby regional centers. Visitors should be aware that the hilly terrain may affect walking routes throughout the area.
