Letenský kolotoč

Letenský Kolotoč is a carousel with hand-carved wooden horses set within an octagonal structure in Letná Park. The figures rotate on a platform while the distinctive building shape creates the appearance of a traditional amusement ride from a past era.

The carousel was built in 1892 and ranks among Europe's oldest continuously operating rides. It gained protected monument status in 1991.

This carousel remains a meeting place where Prague families and visitors of all ages come together for celebrations and everyday outings. It continues to serve as a traditional gathering point that connects generations through simple enjoyment.

The ride operates during warmer months, typically from spring through summer. Tickets can be purchased directly at the location when you arrive to use the carousel.

Each wooden horse displays its own features and handcrafted details created by Czech artisans from the late 1800s. These individual qualities make noticing the differences between each figure a rewarding part of the experience.
